She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Bates and Mabel Mae Banfield Bates; and her sons, John Franklin Daugherty and Wilburn George "Button" Meredith. She is survived by : her husband Wilburn Meredith; her son Joe Daugherty (Patricia); her grandchildren, Heather Clonche (Marcus), Chasity Johnson (Jacob), Kendra Brewer (Benny) and Justin Meredith (Mindy); and her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Cash Johnson, Braxton Tyler Meredith, Carrington Jynx Johnson, Braelynn Rikki Meredith, Meredith Ann Brewer and McKinley Audine Brewer.
