He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Samuel Meeks and Ruth Belle Meeks (Jones); his children, Betty Meeks Errett and Charles Meeks; his granddaughter Tasha Meeks Sturgeon; his great grandchild David Allen Meeks; and his siblings, Marie Henry, Bernice Glassburn, Marlin Meeks, Richard Meek, Gerald Meeks and James Meek.
He is survived by: his children, Gay "Sissy" Davis of Gallipolis Ferry, Bessie Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry, Gayla Bonecutter of Gallipolis Ferry and Nathaniel Meeks (Ashley) of Gallipolis Ferry; and his godson Levi Samuel Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
