He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Pyles Sr. and Ethel Mae Pyles (Love); his wife Kathaleen Pyles (McCoy); his siblings, Payton Pyles, Everett Love, Jimmy Pyles, Sandy F. Pyles, Charles W. Pyles Jr., Jack L. Pyles, Marcella Pyles, Wilma Pyles and Ruth Cline; his parents-in-law, Russell and Ruth McCoy (Robson); and his brother-in-law Ronnie McCoy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Pyles of Ashton, Shelly Smith (Rick) of Ashton and Stephanie Smith (Michael) of Lesage; his siblings, Larry Pyles (Patty) of Gallipolis Ferry and Virginia Wallis of Point Pleasant; his sisters-in-law, Jean Dickens of Atlanta, GA, Janice Blake of Ashton, Betty McCoy of Glenwood and Diane Dalton (Dale) of Ashton; his grandchildren, Brandan Smith (Mallory) of Chesapeake, OH, Bryan Smith (Jessica) of Proctorville, OH, Jordan Pyles (Cassie) of Fort Campbell, KY, Adam Pyles of Lesage and Chanse Smith of Lesage; and his great grandchild Cameran Lee Smith of Chesapeake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
