We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 87, Earl Waitman Underwood Jr. of Gassaway, West Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Earl Waitman Underwood Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Waitman Underwood, Sr. and Emma Rebecca Hall Underwood; his wife Phyllis Ann Underwood; and his siblings, Harry, William Underwood, Margaret Mizell, Kathryn Lampe and Becky Gunter.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Carr (Brad) of Gassaway; his grandsons, Aaron Lemon (Mandy) of San Antonio and Brandon Lemon (Nicole); and his great grandchildren, Keller Lemon, Maddox, Nash Lemon and Eleanor Lemon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roach Funeral Home (708 Braxton St, Gassaway, WV 26624). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Sugar Creek Cemetery (2409 Elk River Rd, Gassaway, WV 26624).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to WV Caring, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
