We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2019, at the age of 98, James J. O'Brien (Gassaway, West Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James O'Brien and May Hamric O'Brien; his wife Germaine O'Brien; his son Albay J. O'Brien; and his grandson William Gregory, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Ronald L. O'Brien of Gassaway, James W. O'Brien of Gassaway and Nancy Gregory of Cary, NC; and his grandchildren, Ronnie O'Brien of Spencer, Peggy Curtis of Maine, Amy O'Brien of Rochester, NH and Jeffery Gregory (Amy) of Cary, NC. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
