He was predeceased by : his parents, Charley Helmondollar and Verna Maynard Helmondollar; his wife Doris Kingery Helmondollar; and his siblings, Edith Stiltner, Gladys Meadows, Mary Magdalene "Shorty" Cook, Francis Bunn, Wade Helmondollar, Clyde Edward "Bill" Helmondollar and Wetzel Helmondollar.

He is survived by : his children, Diane Goodnight (Jerry) of Garrettsville, OH, Sandy Toney (Mark) of Wayne, WV, Brian Helmondollar (Velvet) of Wayne, WV and Les Helmondollar (Nancy); the mother of his children Elsie Dean; his stepson Randy Farley (Cindy) of Africa; his grandchildren, Jerry Goodnight, III, Ben Goodnight, Matthew Toney, Justin Toney, Allison Toney, William Charles Haskins, Mary Angela Morris, Leslie Slider and Michael Farley; and his close friend Susie Fay Stiltner. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
