She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Brown Burke; her parents, George Dencil and Hazel Hardman (Bowyer); and her siblings, George "Bessie" Hardman, Mary Alice, Coleta "Bootsie" Thompson, Edith Sharon West and William Raymond Hardman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Roberta Diane Hatton (Mike) of Sugarland and Carolyn Sue Holvey of Flatwoods; her granddaughter Burke Ashley; her great grandchildren, Joel Lipscomb and Eli Friend; and her close friends, Carey Blainey, Nancy Greenlief and Tammy Keough. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Glenville State University's Waco Center (921 Mineral Rd, Glenville, WV 26351). She was proud that in 64 years she only missed one year due to COVID.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Billy and Marge Burke Scholarship Fund at Glenville State University.
