He is survived by : his wife Pauletta Jean Dumire; his siblings, Steven Bumgardner (Diane) of Harrisville, WV, Christy Miller (John) of Canton, OH and Peggy McCollum of Canton, OH; and his children, Katie Hoyt of Cleveland, OH, Julie Bumgardner of Virginia, Russell Jay Bumgardner Jr. (Carli) of Fairview Park, OH, James David Bumgardner of Medina, OH, Josh Bumgardner (Melanie) of Wadsworth, OH and Robbie Bumgardner (Lisa) of Lagrange, OH. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
He was very active in the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and received the Chairman's Award each year from 2005 to 2012, for his dedication and financial support.
