He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Funkhouser and Dorothy Funkhouser (Waltrick); and his sisters, Lorraine Shank (Funkhouser) and Lisa Funkhouser. He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Shields (Funkhouser); and his nephew Jay Merrbaugh. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
