She was predeceased by: her parents, Merten Thomson and Edna Thomson (Fogle); her stepmother Stella Gillett; her son Russell David Shifflett; and her siblings, Lawrence Thomson, David Thomson, Cora Barlond, Lois Bennett, Marie Gray and Judith Bowler.
She is survived by: her children, Stanley Shifflett (Juanita) of Hanover, Kathy Hughes (Daniel) of Westminster, MD and Carol Webb (Jeff) of Hedgesville, WV; her daughter-in-law Rose Shifflett of Hagerstown, MD; her grandchildren, R. David Shifflett Jr., Carrie Joe, Misty Cassell, Rebecca Cassell, William Ziranski, Jr., Daniel Shifflett, Stephen Shifflett, Michael Shifflett, Ryan Shifflett, Kimberly Hadley and Brynna Harless; and her stepgrandchildren, Kaitlynn Harris, Brandon Harless, Kellie Shank, Deborah Stevens and Jeffrey Webb. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and bonus son.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes (287 Arden Nollville Rd, Inwood, WV 25428). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gospel Pentecostal Church (36 Laing Dr, Martinsburg, WV 25404).
