She was predeceased by: her parents, Sampson Berry and Viola Plumley Berry; her former husband Otis Ward; her children, Phyllis Cales and Daniel Ward; and her children-in-law, Lee Roy Bragg and Sarah Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Ethel Ward of Bragg, Lillie Gill (Doug) of Tug Creek, Carol Bragg (Jim) of Bragg, Virginia Morrison (Lonnie) of Chestnut Mountain, George Ward of Chestnut Mountain, Barbara Gill (James) of Madams Creek, Mitchell Ward (Debbie) of Chestnut Mountain and Donald Ward (Terri) of Forest Hill; and her son-in-law Jimmie Cales. She is also survived by five granddaughters; five grandsons; two great granddaughters; six great grandsons; two step granddaughters; one step grandson; one step great granddaughter and three step great grandson.
