She was predeceased by : her parents, Hubert Maddy and Nellie Wygal Maddy; her husband Charles W. "Chase" Rodes, Jr.; her grandson Daniel Rodes; and her siblings, H. C. Maddy, Jr. and Iris Ann Zannucci.

She is survived by : her children, C. W. Rodes, III (Paula) of Grove City, PA, Stephen Rodes (Tom) of Washington, DC, Philip Rodes (Cynthia) of Troutville, VA, Debra Cyrus (Emmett) of Hinton, Mark Rodes (Teresa) of Hinton, Timothy Rodes of Hinton and Sarah Rodes of Roanoke, VA; and her grandchildren, C. W. Rodes, IV of Grove City, PA, Laura DeWoody (Doug) of Tulsa, OK, Rachel Metcalf (Troy) of Roanoke, VA, Doug Rodes (Amanda) of North Chesterfield, VA, Geoffrey Cyrus (Sarah Megan) of Jumping Branch, Nathan Cyrus (Allison) of Peterstown and Leah Cyrus (Benjamin) of Hinton.

Flowers are welcome, or in lieu, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or The Ministry Place, both in Hinton.
