She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy Lipscomb and Elda Moats Lipscomb; her husband Robert Stewart Ashley, Sr.; her sons, Robert Stuart Ashley, Jr. and Ralph Seward Ashley; and her siblings, Jodi Meadows and Robert Lipscomb.

She is survived by : her sons, Roger Lee Ashley (Joanne Merritt) of Inwood, WV and Randy Philmore Ashley (Lori) of Front Royal, VA; her grandchildren, Robert Stuart Ashley, III, Phillip Ashley, Ralph Allen Ashley, Joshua Ashley, Carol Ann Menkis and Stuart Anderson Ashley; and her siblings, Lilly Heflin (Lynn), Wanda Bean, Laura Evans and Stormy Lipscomb (Shirley). She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
