She was predeceased by : her parents, Augustus Pruitt and Nancy Jane Pruitt; her husband Richard Proffitt, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Sidney and Connor Proffitt; and her siblings, Gracie Roberts, Pebble Day, Mary Kennedy, Hattie Myers, Abby Winborn, Clara Clark, Elva Rowe, Millie Hicks, Nora Kennedy, George Pruitt, Tom Pruitt, Jim Pruitt and Will Pruitt.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Timmy Proffitt, Bridgett Dodson, Lee Proffitt, David Proffitt, Heather Looney and Brian Proffitt; and her brother Jessie Pruitt. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren as well as one great great grandchild.
