She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucian Hale and Lina Hale; her husband Harold N. Hicks, Jr.; and her siblings, Tennie Booth, Opal Mills, Talmadge Hale, Garnet Hale, Edward Hale, Norma Hale, Charles Hale, Lucian Willard Hale and Bernice Ray Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Shuff (Van) of Westerville, Ohio and Scott Farley (Deidre) of Kenova; her grandchildren, Anna Shuff, Olivia Shuff and Beau Farley; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hale (Susie), Gloria Hale and Amy Crookes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Kenova (1120 Poplar St, Kenova, WV 25530). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rose Hill Burial Park (Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashland, KY 41102).
