With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ramon Ray Payton of Kenova, West Virginia, born in Milton, West Virginia, who passed away on August 26, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas O'Dell and Halcy Ann Payton; his sister Roberta Gay Nimmo; and his brother-in-law Teddy Ray Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Payton (Hatten); his children, Randy, Ed, Nikki, Matthew and Melissa; his sisters, Rita Wallace of Culloden, W. V and Clara Hassie (Mike) of Milton; his siblings-in-law, Mike Nimmo of Huntington and Teresa Horn (Willard) of Kenova; his siblings' child Indian Branch; and his close friends, Kristi Nelson of Catlettsburg and Becky Watts of Catlettsburg.
Those attending are asked to follow CDC guidelines and state mandates of social distancing and wearing a face mask.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Good Samaritan Center, 1523 Chestnut Street, Kenova.
