She was predeceased by : her parents, Cledis Christopher (Tim) and Omeda Christopher. She is survived by : her husband Cecil Strawser; her children, Lisa Peddicord (Jay) and Timothy Spiker (Debra); her grandchildren, Jason Peddicord (Lauren), Abby Brooks (Quincy), Allie and Landon Spiker; her great grandchildren, Mila, Holden, Everly Peddicord and Grady Brooks; and her siblings, Phyllis Savage (Bill), Robert Christopher (Joy), Paul Christopher (Cora) and Dean Christopher (Lois). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Fern's memory to the Alzheimer's Association West Virginia Chapter, P.O. Box 18485, South Charleston, WV 25303 or WV Caring, PO Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
