She was predeceased by: her husband Kyle Garretson; her grandson Joshua Garretson; and her parents, Russell Brown and Lucille Brown of Ohio. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kristopher Garretson, Kyle Thomas Garretson, Brien Garretson of West Hamlin and Jeanna Espinoza (Vincent) of Mississippi; her great grandchild Kallee Garretson; her siblings, Sandra Farrenholz, Judy Edminston, Dinah Gunnoe (Wilburn), Michael Brown, Richard Brown (Amy) and James Russell Brown; her siblings-in-law, Sharon Fortune and Steve Garretson (Janice); and her close friends, Lana Davis and Deloris Hoke. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
