He was predeceased by : his parents, Aubrey Roach and Charlie Roach (Porter); his siblings, Ronald Roach and Frances Browning (Adkins); and his son-in-law Jim Frye.

He is survived by : his significant other Patricia "Patty" Gay Roach (Brooks); his daughters, Melissa Frye of Logan and Rebecca Lynch (John Jeffrey "JJ"); and his grandchildren, Jackson Frye, Griffin Frye of Logan, Annabella Lynch and Grace Lynch of Bloomfield, NJ..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 24th 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Claypool United Methodist Church (3635 Huff Creek Hwy, Davin, WV 25617). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. Due to the pandemic, a private funeral will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:00pm at Claypool United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patty and Jim Roach may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz. org.
