He was predeceased by : his parents, Denny Browning and Pearl Browning; his sister Ella Jean Collins; his son Alexander Todd Browning; and his granddaughter Amanda Lee Browning.

He is survived by : his wife Carrie; and his children, Verna Coll (Kevin) and Vernon Jr. (Cecelia). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many cherished brother and sister-in-law's, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Skip's name to Robinson United Methodist Church 3085 Browns Creek Rd., Saint Albans, WV 25177.
