As we bid Betty farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Betty is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Woodrow and Mary Adeline Wolfe Coffindaffer; her daughter Shelia Lynn Hershman; and her sister Mary Jo Greathouse. She is survived by: her son Gary Lee Hershman (Donna) of Buckhannon; her grandsons, Josef Hershman (Natalie) and Joel Hershman; and her brothers, Feris Woodrow "Bud" Coffindaffer (Jean) of Bridgeport and James Coffindaffer (Prudence) of LaBelle, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
