We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2021, at the age of 66, Edward James Burton of Marlinton, West Virginia, born in Sedalia, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Wally Ward and Veta Couger Ward; his wife Laretha Sue Bowien Burton; his great grandchild Dominic Trotter; and his brother Mike Burton.

He is survived by : his sons, James Burton of Columbus, Ind, David Burton of Champaign and Ill; his stepdaughters, Shelia Miller of Clarksville, WV, Charlene Farrington of Meridian and Rebecca Smith of Meridian; and his sisters, Nola Gregg of Warsaw and JoAnn Mudry of Lee Summit, Missouri.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
