He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Welch, Sr. and Lula Pearl McNabb Bricker; his wife Tommie Jean Welch; and his son-in-law Steven Naill. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Welch (Nancy) of Laguna Beach, CA, Shawn Welch (Connie) of Richmond, VA, Debra Naill of Martinsburg, Kim Tucker of Richmond, VA, Kellea Parker (Eugene) of Manteo, NC., Jessica Seibert (Sarge), Carol Sims and Sharon Tobin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
