He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Milburn Kirby, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Host Kirby; his wife Ruby Delores Kirby; his siblings, Kenny, Bill and Frances; and his grandson Travis.

He is survived by: his children, Donnie Kirby (Linda) and Debbie Wharton. He is also survived by three brothers; and three sisters.
