He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hugh Stilwell and Lena Dodd Stilwell; and his brothers, Bruce Stilwell (Louise), Charles Stilwell, Wayne Stilwell and Joe Stilwell (Christina).
He is survived by: his wife Irene Louise Stilwell (Hanlin); his sons, Rodney D. Stilwell (Becky Collins) and Samuel K. Stilwell (Amanda); his grandchildren, Samuel A., Benjamin C. Stilwell, Lilly and Maddie Wilkins; his brothers, Larry Stilwell (Cathy) and Vic Stilwell; and his sister-in-law Bertie Stilwell (JoAnn Dotson). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
