He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hinrich Wendt and Marie Vesper Wendt; his fiancée F. Geneva Hollida; his nephew Wolfgang Wendt of Frankfort, Germany; and his siblings, Adolf, Friedrich, Hermann Wendt of Germany, Anni Wittenberg and Anita Hahn of Germany.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant View Memory Gardens (2938 Charles Town Rd, Martinsburg, WV 25401).
