He was predeceased by : his parent Howard J.; his stepdaughter Joice R. Young; his niece Ashley N. Jenkins; and also, Bernhard Dunker and Gertrud Dunker.

He is survived by : his parent Pearl M. Elms, Jr.; his significant other Gertrud Unger; his children, Lacy Sanders, Rhiannon Elms and Aaron Price; his stepson Shane Unger; his grandchildren, KaLeigh, Taylor, Aden, Ian, Avalina and Elle; and his siblings, Gary Elms, Diane Elms, Sandra Curtis and Suzanne Riffe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
