Gailord Elmer Taylor Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gailord Elmer Taylor of Masontown, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Parley L. Taylor and Dorothy Taylor (Gamble); his grandfather Caleb Radabaugh (Olivia); his great-grandparent Sadie Jane Radabaugh; the mother of his children Hilda M. Chaplow (Cale); and his siblings, Eldora Taylor, Alvada Taylor, Duane "Bob" Taylor and Llewellyn "Lee" Taylor.
He is survived by: his caregiver Delores "Dee" Radabaugh; his children, Cheryl Dear (James) and Gerald "Jerry" Taylor (Kelli); his grandchildren, Christopher Braithwaite, Zachary Braithwaite, Jacob Braithwaite (Sarah), Eric Castle (Tiffany), Cortni Taylor (Colleen) and Cody Taylor; his great grandchildren, Eleanor Braithwaite, Ethan Castle and Delaney Castle; and his sister Alberta McIe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Field Funeral Home (10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26542). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (4528 Herring Rd, Masontown, WV 26542).
