He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W. Richmond and Lorena Vandall Richmond; and his siblings, Lucille, Alvis and James (Jo Ann).
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Ann Hoke Richmond; Dr. Doug Richmond of Blacksburg, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
