He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clyde Williams and Gloria Surbaugh Harrah; his daughter Sara Williams Wadding; and his brother Clyde Matthew Williams. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Parks Williams; his son John Michael Williams (Melissa) of Marshallville, OH; his siblings, Leonard Andrew Williams of MacArthur, WV, Kathy Wills Henson (Duane) of Decatur, AL and Suzanna Harrah-Martin (Larry); and his stepchildren, Randy McMillen (Beth) of Mechanicsville, VA, Jeffrey McMillen (Deanna) of New Castle, PA and Lisa McMillen of Concord, NC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Broadus Baptist Church or the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.
