She was predeceased by : her parents, Elsie Irene Floyd and William Floyd (Clyde); her husband Dorsey E. Nicola, Sr.; her son Jason A. A. Nicola; her daughter-in-law April Stout Nicola; and her sister Carol Scott.

She is survived by : her grandson Dorsey Nicola III; her children, Laurynda Armstrong (Paul Young), Katrina Schneider (James) and Dorsey Nicola, Jr. (Lola); her siblings, Virginia Peiffer (Floyd), Lynne Martin (Floyd) and Clyde Floyd (Debbie); her grandchildren, DJ Armstrong, Jennifer Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Eric Schneider and Alex Schneider; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Armstrong and Brianna Armstrong. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
