It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Butcher (Monongah, West Virginia), who passed away on March 18, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Butcher and Vina Givens Butcher; his former life partner Helen Virginia Henderson Butcher; his grandson Ammon Neil Gladwell; his stepdaughter Alice Long; and his siblings, Flava Butcher, Willie Butcher, Orville Butcher, Beatrice Hamrick and Velma Currence.

He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Butcher; his children, Clinton Butcher (Deborah) of Waynesburg, PA, Steven Butcher (Marie) of Rexburg, ID and Colleen Gladwell (Richard) of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Desna, Ryan Aspy of Knoblesville, IN, Lindsey, Matt Williams of Washington, PA, Adrienne, Daniel Sturgeon of Westerville, OH, Kasey, Kaleb Snell of Idaho Falls, ID, Jacob, Megan Butcher of Morgantown, WV, Rodney, Jennifer Butcher of Gainsville, VA, Becky, Ian Luke of Sugar City, ID, Michael Butcher of St. Louis Park, MN, Katie Butcher of Shelley, ID, Nathan, Mandie Gladwell of Star Tannery, VA, Sariah and Ben Waldron of Bridgeport, WV; his sisters, Della Butcher and Almira Watson; and his stepchildren, John Jett, Jr., Kathy Jett, Susan Jett, Michael Loss, Kay, Bim Martin, Charlie, Lori Jett, Connie and Jimmy Haun. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
