He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Edward Deiger and Mildred Marie Barnhouse Deiger; his daughter Nancy Lou Deiger; his sisters, Nancy Lou Deiger and Alberta Ludt; and his parents-in-law, Wilbert and Martha Graham.

He is survived by : his wife Ruth Graham Deiger; his son Nicholas Howard Deiger (Libby); his granddaughter Keelee Rose Deiger; his siblings, John David Deiger (Lisa), Ada Mae Neff of Ohio, Martha Oliver of Ohio and Judith Everson of Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Diane Foster, David Deiger of Ohio, Anders Lonnermark of Sweden, Paivi Pauhala Perko of Finland and David Nilson of Sweden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to West Virginia Christian Youth Camp c/o Don Riffle, 12 Columbine Drive, Lost Creek, WV 26385.
