He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ann Hurst Burchett; his children, Richard Nicholson (Tonya), Robin Horton (Greg O'Quinn), Amy Akers (Bennie), Martha Higdon (Franko), Rev. Melissa White (David), Beth Flack (Derick) and Carey Pendry (Mike); and his siblings, Maynard (Patty) and Christine (Elwood). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
