He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jefferson and Jettie Elizabeth Combs Fields; his wife Helen Marie White Fields (Church) of God; his siblings, John, Perry, Eulice, Carl, Pauline Fields, Avery, Estil, Annie, Nannie, Marie, Viola and Gertrude Burchett; and his children-in-law, Homer Wilson and Kandi Fields.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Wilson, Vickie Akers (Willard) and Craig Fields (Beth); his grandsons, Jason Perdue (Kayla), Eric Akers (Lorrie), Jeremy Perdue (Tonya) and Brad Fields (Kristen); and his great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Davis, Atley Perdue, Elliana Fields and Peyton Levi.
