He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Reel and Ellen Reel (Carr); his former wife Beulah Virginia Kimble Reel (Alt); his wife Etta Reel (Hedrick); his stepsons, Roy Kimble, Marvin Kimble, Richard Kimble and Charles Kimble; his siblings, Dorothy Sites, Mary Catherine Burgess, William Henry Reel, Branson Ray Reel and Robert Frederick Reel; and his stepdaughter Catherine Cook.
He is survived by: his siblings, Annie Shepherd of New York and David Charles Reel of Needmore, WV; his siblings-in-law, Linda Ketterman (Hancel) of Seneca Rocks, WV and Bruce Sites of Durgon, WV; and his stepson Harland Kimble of Oldtown. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
