He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Columbus Parsons, Sr. and Ethel Elizabeth Shoemaker Parsons; and his wife Lola Betty Helmick Parsons. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
