He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew Addison and Lily May Addison (Allen); and his siblings, Lawrence J. Addison, Vivian Driver and Edith Moriaty.
He is survived by: his wife Idabell Addison (Lettau); his children, Roger P. Addison of Winchester, VA and Brenda G. Newby (Gary) of Petersburg, WV; and his granddaughters, Christine Merchant (Zachary), Terri Newby, Sherri Newby and Jennifer Newby. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
