He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Blaine and Fannie Victoria Currence McCollam. He is survived by: his wife Judy Lane Chewning; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret McCollam of Mill Creek, Anna Bobo (Bob) of Fisher, WV, Nancy Haggerty (Bill) of Purgistville, WV, Sandy Carriger (Casey) of Moorefield, WV. and Gerald Chewning.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in memory of Ronald.
