She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Lowell Dodd and Alice Evelyn Jacques Dodd; her husband Ralph Hitt; and her siblings, Harold J. Dodd, Samuel "Buster" Dodd, Lowell Dodd and Florence Krueger.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence R. Hitt (Jann) of Martinsburg, WV and Lois E. Plaugher (Dick) of Winchester, VA; and her grandsons, Matt Plaugher (Betsy), Jeremy Plaugher (Danielle), Nathan Hitt (Daina) and Colin Hitt (Amy).
