With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Louis Ireland of Morgantown, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by : his parents, A. Louis Ireland and Beulah A. "Boots" Ireland (Casteel); and his former life partner Gladys Ireland (McGregor). He is survived by : his wife Nancy Ireland; his children, Paul A. "Chip" Ireland (Barbara), Diedre Law (Brandon) and Hilaria E. Swisher (Rodney); his grandchildren, Emma Law, Ian Law, Courtney Swisher and Caleb Law; and his brothers, Randall Ireland (Patti) and Russell Ireland (Patricia). He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hastings Funeral Home (153 Spruce St, Morgantown, WV 26505). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
