It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Louise Byers of Morgantown, West Virginia, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Harry and Anita Sheetz (Read); her sons, Jefferson Read Byers (Lois) and Charles Richard Byers; and her brothers, Dr. Charles Harry "Snitz" Sheetz, Jr. (Thelma) and Richard Read Sheetz (Cathy).

She is survived by : her husband Harry Lawrence Byers, Jr.; her son Harry Lawrence; and her great grandchildren, Joshua (Kennedy), Emerson, Ezra Byers, Elijah (Casey), Micaiah, Karli Byers, Joel (Kasey), Braydon, Aurora, Arialle Byers, Rebekah (William), Jaxon and Titus Simon. She is also survived by four grandchildren and spouses.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home Basagic Funeral Home (826 Blue Gray Trail, Franklin, WV 26807). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Franklin Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to Franklin Board of Parks, Swimming Pool Fund.
