She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rhoades and Elsie Baker Rhoades; her daughter Melissa Marie Fahnestock; and her siblings, Lewis Rhoades, Phyllis Wood, Leota Conrad and Nellis Mercer.

She is survived by: her son John R. Fahnestock Jr. (Tammy); her sister Hester Knox of Moundsville, WV; her grandchildren, Philip Fahnestock (Sara), Gregory Fahnestock and Melissa Fahnestock; and her great grandchild Lincoln. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
