She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilbert Francis Shreve and Ora Belle Shafer Shreve; her husband Dennis Shaffer; and her brothers, Ronald Shreve and Charles Shreve.

She is survived by : her children, Kevin Johnson of New Freeport and Carmen Aberegg of Deep Valley; her sister Arrahwanna McMasters of Parkersburg; her grandchildren, Krista Aberegg, Aaron Hostutler and Kaleb Johnson; her great grandchildren, Coltin Braun, Taylor Hostutler and Alexis Hostutler; and her daughter Rhonda Piper.
