He was predeceased by : his parents, Martha Corrine and William Henry Haywood; his brother Jerry Haywood; and his grandson Kyle Smith. He is survived by : his wife Nancy E. Carpenter; his children, William Jr. Haywood (Dorothy), Tracy Haywood, Jennifer Smith (Wesley) and Rachel Ulbright (Dave); his grandchildren, Shawn McClellan, Samantha, Jake, Josh, Zach Smith, Hunter and Katie Ulbright; his brother Pat Haywood (Barbara); and his half-sister Cindy McElroy (Glenn).
