With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Eddy Fitzwater of Mount Hope, West Virginia, who passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Fitzwater and Erma Lee Naylor Fitzwater; his siblings, Bryant Fitzwater and Sue Fitzwater; and the mother of his children Gladys Kerwood Romero.
He is survived by: his children, James Fitzwater (Shelia), Carey Fitzwater (Monica) and Lisa Bragg (John); his siblings, Hoy Fitzwater (Thelma), Walter "Kim" Fitzwater (Vickie), Curtis Fitzwater, Paul Fitzwater, Lulabell Keatley (Curtis) and Joyce Allen (Albert); his grandchildren, Elijah Fitzwater (Bailey), Jacob Fitzwater, Kendra Pudder, Alexis Harmon, Jeremiah Medina, JT Harmon (Morgan), Sabrena Kincaid, Dalton Kincaid, Christian Jennings and Hosanna Jennings; and his great grandchildren, Luella, Jaden, Cameron, Mathias, Gracie, Ethan, Malaki, Xavier, Eli, Sophie, Lane, Remington, Patric and Caroline.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel (1435 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
