He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Tanner and Gertrude Tanner; his wife Janet M. Tanner; and his brothers, Russell "Russ" Tanner and Dana Tanner.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick Tanner (Pam) of Nebo, Randy Tanner (Diane) of Arnoldsburg, Tim Tanner (Christina) of Sutton and Scott Tanner (Shelly) of Scott Depot; his siblings, Carmel Tanner of Nebo, Wanda Watkins of Chloe and Carol Copen of Nebo; and his uncles, Ron Dawson and Don Dawson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
