He was predeceased by : his parents, Harley Walter Dorsey and Etta Jane Fields Dorsey; his wife Mary Louise Ayers Dorsey; and his sister Evalene McMillion. He is survived by : his children, Debra McClung, Edward Dorsey (Mary Jo) and Gary Dorsey; and his siblings, Mary McClung and Randall Dorsey. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
