He is survived by : his wife Kay Wetzel; his sisters, Alta Haudenschilt and Melba Arman; his children, George "Steve" Wetzel, Michael Wetzel (Mary Jo), Jeff Wetzel (Kristin), Tim Wetzel (Valerie) and Aimee Tallman (Todd); his grandchildren, Mandy Ford, Rachel Tallman Cahn (Jake), Zach Tallman, Allie Wetzel (Emily), Drake Wetzel, Yale Wetzel, Keenan Slampak, Kaeli Lafferty (Ryan), Kennedy Matteo (Tony), Kyra Loy (Clay) and Tierney Sneed (Jim); and his great grandchildren, Carson Ford, Kohen Ford and Micah Graff Wetzel.
