Galin Thomas Shahan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Galin Thomas Shahan (Newburg, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Shahan and Jane Wable Shahan; his daughter Wendy Ann; and his siblings, Bina Jacobson, Betty Beal, Gareth, Bill, Clifford, Leslie and Bobby Shahan.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bolyard Shahan; his sons, Travis (Dawn) and Troy Shahan (Lynette); his grandchildren, Lillie, Issac, Josh, Ellie and Abby; his sisters, Faye Bell and Janet Shahan; his nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Gina, Denise, Yolanda, Annette, Vickie, Rebecca, Melissa, Michelle, Chuck, Donnie, Scott, Michael and Becky; his brothers, David (Karen) and Jay Bolyard; his nieces and nephews, David, Shelley, Derek, Lisa and Erin; Bud and Dorthy Bolyard.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bolyard Funeral Home & Cremation (79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV 26410). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
